Approach to Quality
Cisco's approach to quality can be condensed down to one phrase: "ensuring our customer success". The information contained in this section will help you to gain a better understanding of Cisco's Business Management System, which allows us to accomplish that success. Cisco's Business Management System is made up of two parts; the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System.

Cisco Fun Facts
Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology conglomerate headquartered in San Jose, California, in the center of Silicon Valley, that develops, manufactures and sells networking hardware, telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services and products. Through its numerous acquired subsidiaries, such as OpenDNS, WebEx, Jabber and Jasper, Cisco specializes into specific tech markets, such as Internet of Things (IoT), domain security and energy management.

Cisco is the largest networking company in the world. The stock was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on June 8, 2009, and is also included in the S&P 500 Index, the Russell 1000 Index, NASDAQ-100 Index and the Russell 1000 Growth Stock Index.

Cisco Systems was founded in December 1984 by Leonard Bosack and Sandy Lerner, two Stanford University computer scientists, who pioneered the concept of a local area network (LAN) being used to connect geographically disparate computers over a multiprotocol router system. By the time the company went public in 1990, when it was listed on the NASDAQ, Cisco had a market capitalization of $224 million. Cisco was the most valuable company in the world by 2000, with a more than $500 billion market capitalization

Learn more about Headsets/Earsets

Finding the right headset or earset to buy can be tricky. There are many different types and models on sale. Whether you're on the lookout for a Bluetooth headset or a pair of music headphones, this guide should help.

What's the difference between a headset and a headphone?
All headsets and earsets typically come with a microphone, letting you make calls as well as listen to music and podcasts. headphones do not have a microphone built in and are more focused on music / movie listening.

Bluetooth headsets
With a Bluetooth headset, you can keep your hands free while on a call without having to awkwardly sandwich the phone between your ear and shoulder. They let you access commonly used functions - such as picking up calls or activating Siri/Google Now – directly from the headset. You can leave your phone in your pocket.

There's a variety of models designed to suit specific needs. Some have a special carry case that also keeps their battery topped up. Others are tough enough to come with a 5-year warranty. There are models that are well-suited for both making calls and listening to music. You can also find Bluetooth headsets that eliminate wind noise, making you easy to hear when you're out in stormy weather.

Wired headsets
Wired headsets connect directly to your computer via USB or 3.5mm port and let you start talking in seconds. You don't need to worry about the call dropping off or running out of battery. They come in mono (one ear) and duo (two ear) variants, depending on what you prefer. Many models are made to withstand prolonged use with durable Kevlar cords and a boom arm that can rotate 360 degrees without snapping. They're comfortable enough to wear all day and have special noise-cancelling microphones that ensure the other side only hears your voice.

Wireless headsets
Wireless headsets use Bluetooth or DECT technology to connect to your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. They have a wireless range of almost 330 feet or a 100 meters, so you can leave your desk while on a call to e.g. pick up printouts or find documents. Most models connect to multiple devices at the same time, letting you easily switch between making calls on your smartphone or work PC. Some are equipped with a special base and a touchscreen that lets you manage your calls. Wireless headsets are available in mono (one ear) and duo (two ears) versions.

Conference speakers
These are portable speakers that you can take anywhere you go. They let you have a conference call that others in the room can participate in. All models make sure that both sides of the call hear each other clearly and without distortions.

The basic model is great for small rooms and connects to your laptop, tablet, or phone via USB or 3.5mm cable. Mid-range model adds the option to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. The high-end model can handle large meeting rooms with around 15 participants.
