General Information:

The TAA-compliant MCX Gen2 DisplayPort Transcoder is an ideal solution for point-to-point secure video conferencing, hotel or convention center displays, multi-monitor broadcasts, distributed video matrix or video wall systems, and remote KVM system control. The transcoder brings all the features of MCX Gen2 encoders and decoders into a single solution, allowing you to configure it for use as either an encoder or decoder and to utilize it in either your 10G Cat6A copper or SFP+ Fiber networking environment. It features a DisplayPort output to provide 4K60 4:4:4 UHD video via a secure latching connector while allowing for either HDMI or DisplayPort inputs. It provides for a complete A/V over IP Distribution solution, transmitting and switching video, audio, IR, RS-232, and USB 2.0 signals throughout your system.

Easy Setup and Management
Connect a transcoder to an AV source (e.g. computer, content player) and to a managed 10-GbE network switch. Connect a transcoder to each screen you want to display the content on and connect it to the same switch. Through the user-friendly MCX Gen2 Controller, you can configure your system and build and manage a video wall. Transcoders can be connected point-to-point for extension-only applications.

Uncompressed 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 Video
Extend and distribute uncompressed 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 video to an unlimited number of displays without sacrificing latency, video quality, or bandwidth.

Create Ergonomic Workflows for Operators and Configure as Copper or Fiber
Front-panel configuration buttons and On-Screen Display (OSD) streamline daily workflows.

Zero Latency
High-quality, IP routable, AV extension yields real-time (0.03 milliseconds) glass-to-glass encoding and decoding.

Back USB-B for Encoder or Front 3-Port USB for Decoder
Configure the integrated USB hub of each transcoder for multi-user, control room, or on-demand installations.

Additional Video Out
When used as an Encoder, the local DisplayPort output allows you to view the input source on a separate monitor, sample the video on a loop, then pass it to the network to compare latency.

Works with Optional MCX Gen2 Controller or Control Software
Combine multiple transcoders with one or more 10-Gigabit fiber Ethernet switches to form a distributed video matrix, a multi-viewer system, or a video wall.

Choosing the Best Video Capturing Card to Purchase

If you're looking to record or stream high-quality video content, you'll need a video capturing card that can handle the job. A video capturing card, also known as a capture card or video capture device, is a hardware device that allows you to capture video and audio signals from an external source, such as a game console, camera, or computer screen, and transfer them to your computer for processing and storage.

With so many different video capturing cards on the market, it can be challenging to know which one to choose. In this blog post, we'll discuss some of the factors you should consider when selecting a video capturing card and recommend some of the best options available.

    Factors to Consider

Before you purchase a video capturing card, you should consider several factors that will impact the quality of the video content you capture. Here are some of the key factors to keep in mind:

    1. Video resolution: The resolution of the video you're capturing will determine the quality of the image. Make sure the video capturing card you choose can handle the resolution you want to capture. Most modern video capturing cards support 1080p and 4K resolutions.

    2. Frame rate: The frame rate determines how many frames per second (fps) the video is captured at. A higher frame rate will result in smoother video, but it will also require more processing power. Most video capturing cards support 60 fps, while some support higher frame rates.

    3. Input sources: Consider the input sources you plan to use with the video capturing card. Some video capturing cards are designed for specific input sources, such as game consoles, while others are more versatile and can capture from a variety of sources.

    4. Software compatibility: Make sure the video capturing card you decide is compatible with the software you plan to use for recording or streaming. Some video capturing cards come with their own software, while others are designed to work with third-party software.

    5. Price: Video capturing cards can range from under $50 to over $500. Consider your budget and how much you're willing to spend on a video capturing card.
