General Policy and Returns
CompSource Inc. knows how exasperating it is to receive a defective product. That is why we have integrated an easy online RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form for all returns click here. Subject to the manufacturer's warranty requirements, we will replace or credit any item returned within 30 days of shipment. Most replacement RMA's are shipped same day and no later than 48 hrs after received. Your replacement will be back to you in no time. Defective items are tested when received. All items returned for credit are processed within 3 days of date they are received. This means no long wait for credits to be processed. So if it is a replacement you need or a credit to be issued, you won't have to wait very long. Return shipping cost is not covered on defective items because we do not manufacture the product. However, we will replace the item and ship the replacement back to you and waive the ground shipping charges. If product requires trucking, additional fees may apply. Please refuse shipment if the product looks damaged or indicate the possibility next to your signature on delivery. Failure to do so will cause difficulty in returns or denial of a claim. Our Qualified Customer Service Representatives can help you with any questions or comments you may have regarding your order.
30-Day Return Policy
Any part returned for credit or replacement must be made within 30 days of original shipment and accompanied by an RMA#. All items returned for credit or replacement must be returned in a resalable condition and with all original unmarked packaging including blank warranty cards, manuals driver disks, etc. Any item returned with a damaged box will be charged a $35 rebox fee. Products returned for refund will be subject to a minimum of 15% restocking fee. There is no restocking fee for products returned for replacement within 15 days of the original shipment. CPU's, memory, camera's and select other items are not refundable but available for defective replacement only. Some items may have a refer-to-direct policy; the manufacturer is imposing this. Refer to the site for a listing or click here. Shipping charges, software, consumables and custom configured systems are not refundable. CompSource Inc. does not guarantee compatibility.
To Obtain RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)#
Use our easy online RMA form to obtain an RMA#. All RMA requests via e-mail are answered within 24 business hours. RMA REFUND AMOUNT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE IF ITEM RETURNED IS NOT IN CONDITION AS STATED. The Customer Service Department is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. All RMA#'s are valid for 15 days or 30 days from invoice date, whichever comes first. RMA# must be written on the outside shipping label of all returned packages. Package must be returned freight pre-paid. Do not write on the manufacturers box. All returns must be shipped back to address given in email or the Ohio warehouse within 30 days of original invoice at: CompSource Inc., 3241 Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114 Attn: RMA#___.
System RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Procedure
Any system coming back for repair will follow the same procedure listed above. After calling CompSource Technical Support Department to ensure the system is bad, and the problem is not software related or is something that can be handled over the phone, use the online RMA form to obtain a RMA#. System repairs generally take 1-7 Business days, depending on the nature of the problem and availability of replacement parts. CompSource and its authorized technicians only may perform all warranty services. CompSource shall not be responsible and will not honor any warranty claims resulting in any other services rendered to the CompSource system. At the sole discretion of CompSource, the system or its components may be repaired, replace, or substituted. Online Ordering
All warranty and return procedures for online ordering are the same as above. Any item returned for credit is subject to a minimum of 15% restocking fee. A product may be exchanged for replacement within 15 days of invoice with no restocking fee, if product is of greater or equal value.
Other Circumstances
If a package is refused, you must notify Customer Service so the package may be tracked back to the warehouse and a credit may be issued. Customer is responsible for freight charges on a refused package . Once package is returned to the warehouse, you will receive your credit.
If a package is lost, damaged, or delivered to wrong address by carrier, you must notify Customer Service so a claim will be put through with the carrier. Claims usually take 2 to 4 weeks to process. Once the carrier acknowledges the claim you will receive your credit. All claims must be made within 2 days of receipt.
If an express package is not shipped within the guaranteed time you must call Customer Service. They will put a claim through with the carrier. Once the claim is processed and cleared by the carrier you will receive your credit. The carrier guarantees packages with the following exemptions: Acts of God such as dense fog, blizzards, ice storms, or anything that the carrier has no control of. Delivery times: Standard Overnight 3:30 Business, 4:30 Residential, Priority 10:30 AM Business and 12:00 PM Residential, Fed Ex 2-day Guaranteed in 2 Business days before 4:30 Business 7:00 Residential. All claims must be made within 2 days of receipt.
A $25.00 fee applies to all returned checks/NSF.
Prices are subject to change without notice. In the event a product(s) is listed at an incorrect stock or price due to a typographical error, error in pricing information received from our suppliers or a ending of a rebate, CompSource, Inc. shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the product(s) listed at the incorrect price. CompSource, Inc. shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders. If your credit card has been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, CompSource, Inc. shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
Privacy Policies
Your privacy on the Internet is important to us. As part of the operation of CompSource Inc., we gather certain types of information about CompSource customers, and we would like to explain the types of information we gather, what we do with it and how to correct or change the information.Information Collected
CompSource Inc. collects twp types of personally identifying information from users: personal information (such as names and e-mail addresses, etc.); and aggregated information (such as information about traffic patterns on CompSource Inc., for example how many users log into CompSource Inc. on a daily basis.)
Personal Information
Personal information is collected when users provide personal information to CompSource Inc., for example in registering for our electronic newsletters, contest or shopping cart.
Aggregated Information
Aggregated information, such as which pages users access or visit and information volunteered by users, such as survey information and/or site registrations, is collected through various methods. For example, CompSource collects IP addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the Web. Web servers, the computers that "serve up" Web pages, automatically identify your computer by its IP address, and when you request a page from CompSource Inc., our servers log your IP address. CompSource Inc. collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to provide aggregated data to advertisers about the volume of use on CompSource Inc.
Use of Cookies
CompSource uses "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that most major web sites write to your hard drive for record keeping purposes when you visit them. Cookies allow CompSource to measure activity on the Site and to improve your user experience, for example by remembering your passwords and viewing preferences, thus allowing you to visit various member-only parts of the Site without re-registering. Cookies are used by CompSource Inc. to measure activity on the Site and make improvements and updates based on which areas are popular and which are not. CompSource does NOT use cookies to retrieve information from your computer that was not originally sent in a cookie. Except for personal information voluntarily provided by you (i.e., during membership registration or a contest), CompSource Inc. does NOT use information transferred through cookies for any promotional or marketing purposes, nor is that information shared with any third parties whatsoever. You may occasionally get cookies from our advertisers, which is standard in the Internet industry. CompSource does not control these cookies, and these cookies are not subject to CompSource Inc.'s privacy policies. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you'd prefer, you can set yours to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, it is possible that some parts of the Site, such as the shopping cart will not function properly if you do so.
Use of Information Collected
CompSource Inc. uses both the personal and aggregated information that we collect for multiple purposes. The information is used to improve the content of the Site, to customize the content and/or layout of the Site for each individual user and to notify users about updates to the Site or promotional offers or opportunities that we believe will be of interest to you. CompSource Inc. shares aggregated information with third parties for both advertising and promotional purposes. CompSource Inc. may also share personal information with prescreened third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. CompSource Inc. will only disclose personal information, when disclosure is legally required, to protect our rights or the safety of others. CompSource Inc. will undertake to provide users with an opportunity to decline this service when such information is requested from you online. Your information is kept private and not shared with or sold to any other third party. If you object to CompSource Inc.'s use of personal information provided by you for any reason, you may stop that use by canceling your subscription to our newsletter, The Source, by emailing webmaster@compsource.com, with "Unsubscribe" in the subject of the email. In addition, in the event CompSource Inc. plans to post any such information on the Site, CompSource will undertake to notify you of this possibility when you provide the information or. if possible, will notify you when the information is posted.
Children and Privacy
CompSource Inc. encourages parents and guardians to spend time with their children online, and to be fully familiar with the sites visited by their children. At various places on CompSource Inc., we will ask whether users are under the age of 18, or 13, for example when requesting personal information from users, or CompSource Inc. may ask for parental consent. However, while CompSource requests this information or permission, CompSource relies on users to be truthful in responding to these questions.
Users Under 13
No information should be submitted to or posted on the Site by users under the age of 13 years without the consent of their parent or guardian. CompSource does not provide any personally identifying information, regardless of its source, to any third party for any purpose whatsoever unless disclosed during collection. Users under the age of 13 are generally asked not to participate in contests or other promotional opportunities.
Users 13 Through 17
CompSouce Inc. requests that children under the age of 18 do not submit or post information to the Site without a parent or guardian's consent. CompSource Inc. may collect information, including personally identifying information, from users between the ages of 13 and 17. With the permission of their parent or guardian CompSource Inc. may use this information for marketing and promotional purposes. If a user or their parent or guardian changes their mind with respect to such use, such user, parent or guardian may stop that use -- wither by e-mail request or by modifying his/her registration information online as described above in "Use of Information Collected".
Links to Other Sites
It is important to note that CompSource Inc. contains links to sites other than CompSource Inc., and that those sites may not follow the same privacy policies as CompSource Inc. For instance, if you click on an advertisement on CompSource Inc., this may take you away from CompSource Inc. to an entirely different site. This can include links from advertisers, content providers and partners who may use CompSource Inc.'s logo and or style as a result of a co-branding agreement. These sites may send their own cookies to you, and may collect information and make uses of it that CompSource Inc. would not.

Custom Computer Warranty Policy
Limited Warranty
CompSource warrants its computer system with the exception of the built-in hard drive(s) and monitor(s), to the original purchaser ("Customer"), against defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of the original CompSource invoice under normal use and service. CompSource warrants the built-in hard disk drive(s) monitor(s) that are installed in the original system, to the original purchaser, against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of the original CompSource invoice under normal use and service. CompSource Inc. is responsible for all monitors for 30 days, after which manufacture will repair.
A CompSource computer system is defined as a computer system manufactured by CompSource, which consists of a motherboard, main memory, case, power supply, disk controller(s), video adapter(s), input/output controller(s) and port(s), floppy disk drive(s), hard disk drive(s), and monitor(s). This warranty only covers the CompSource computer system, which is bootable through a primary floppy drive.
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from alterations, assembly, negligence, accidents, misuse, abuse, improper power source, improper operating environment, or repairs and services rendered by anyone other than a CompSource authorized service representative, or resulting from perils such as wars, fire, theft, water, surge, spikes, brownouts, or vandalism.
This warranty is valid only within the United States and applies only to CompSource system, which is new, and in original CompSource packaging which are unopened on the date of purchase.
Warranty Services
CompSource and its authorized technicians only may perform all warranty services. CompSource shall not be responsible and will not honor any warranty claims resulting from any other services rendered to the CompSource system. At sole discretion of CompSource, the system or its components may be repaired, replaced, or substituted. Customer's sole and exclusive remedy for claims under this warranty is through this warranty service.
To acquire warranty service, the customer must first obtain an RMA number. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of each package. All returned merchandise must be packaged in the original packaging including all original accessories and documents. The customer must prepay and insure all return shipment(s), and address to "CompSource Attn: CompSource RMA Department, 3241 Superior Ave. Cleveland Ohio 44114 RMA#________". Risk of loss due to improper labeling or delivery is solely the responsibility of the customer. Additionally, all systems to be serviced under this warranty must be processed according to the instructions as described in the CompSource RMA POLICY.
Return Privilege
A CompSource system may only be returned for credit or refund no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of the original CompSource invoice. Shipping charges, software & Custom configured systems are not refundable. An RMA number must accompany any CompSource system return(s).
All returns must comply with the instructions in the CompSource RMA POLICY. All manufacturer's warranty cards, where applicable, and manuals must be left blank and returned with the system. Customers should leave the warranty cards, where applicable, blank until after thirty days.
After thirty days from the date of the original invoice, the merchandise may only be replaced or repaired. No return privilege, neither credit nor refund, shall be given to such merchandise. All expendable items, software, consumables, food items and shipping costs are not returnable or refundable.
Claims and Damages
All merchandise and packages are inspected before shipment. The customer must file claims for damaged goods or incomplete shipments with the carrier immediately. The carrier is responsible for incomplete shipments or damages incurred during shipment.
Disclaimer
All other express and implied warranties for the CompSource computer system, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on how long an implied warranty last, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
If this system is not in good working order as warranted above your sole and exclusive remedy shall be repaid or replaced as provided above. In no event will CompSource be liable to customer or any third party for any damages in excess of the purchase price of the system. This limitation applies to damages of any kind including any direct or indirect damages, lost profits, lost savings or other special, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages whether for breach of contract, or whether arising out of the use of or inability to use such system even if CompSource or an authorized CompSource representative or dealer has been advised of the possibility of such damages or any claim by any other party. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages from some products, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply.
International Orders
Compsource.com is pleased to ship worldwide through our partner, GlobalShopex.com. Simply add any items you wish to purchase in your shopping cart and choose the "International Checkout" option. The global checkout page will allow you to see the cost of shipping and duties and taxes upfront. You may prepay duties and taxes when you check out or pay upon delivery. If you prepay, there will be no additional funds collected upon delivery. GlobalShopex handles the international checkout and shipping and will process your payment and guarantee delivery.
