Fujifilm

At Fujifilm we create innovative products and deliver effective solutions in a wide variety of fields to serve society, contribute to the quality of life, and enhance environmental sustainability.

The Fujifilm group once faced a rapid reduction of the market demand for our main products, photographic film due to digitization. After overcoming such a drastic change in the operating environment, we regard this current period as our “Second Foundation,” applying its core photographic technologies to a diverse range of business fields.

The contents of the corporate video features explanations of Fujifilm as a company that utilizes leading-edge proprietary technologies to create unprecedented values, and as a leading company that boldly challenges new frontiers. The video also explains how Fujifilm is applying the photographic technologies that it has developed over many years to a diverse range of business fields.

Buying a digital camera can be overwhelming but important if you want your memories to last a lifetime! Here is a very quick guide to help with this decision.

1. Determine what you need
What type of photography will you be doing? (portraits, landscapes, macro, sports)
2. Megapixels are good and bad!
The more megapixels often equates to more noise in the picture. If you’re only printing images at a normal size then anything over 5 megapixels will be fine. If you start blowing your images up you might want to pay the extra money for the upper end of what’s on the market today.
3. DSLR or Point and Shoot / Compact Camera?
While Digital SLRs are getting more affordable they are not for everyone. They do however produce extremely professional photos! While a Compact point and shoot is great for a trip, many are even waterproof.
4. Optical Zoom is King
Not all ‘zooms’ are created equal. Digital zooms simply enlarge the pixels which makes it look more pixelated. If you’re looking for a zoom lens make sure it’s an optical zoom (most modern cameras have them of at least 3x in length – ie they’ll make your subject three times as big – with an increasing array of ‘super zooms’ coming onto the market at up to 12x Optical Zoom).
