The ComNet™ CNGE2FE4SMS[POE][HO] is a six-port self-managed switch with uplink management functionality and provides 4 copper ports operating at 10/100 Mbps and two Gbps optical SFP ports. It is designed to combine four electrical ports and one Gbps SFP port into one of two optical SFP ports. The CNGE2FE4SMS[POE][HO] SFP ports forwards this data to the next network device or can be configured for drop and insert operation. The CNGE2FE4SMS[POE][HO] uses ComNet SFPs for connector and distance options. There is no programming required to use this product. The ComNet CNGE2FE4SMS[POE][HO] comes pre-programmed, preventing network video flooding with dip switch selection of fiber ports as uplink or as an unmanaged switch. Ports 1 to 4 can supply up to thirty (30) watts of power (Power over Ethernet) per port based on the IEEE 802.3at standard. An optional High Output (HO) version is also available that can supply up to thirty (30) watts of PoE from ports 1 and 2 and up to sixty (60) watts of PoE from ports 3 and 4. | |

Unlike an Ethernet hub, which transmits the same data through every output, a network switch sends data only to the devices designated to receive it. Are there different types of network switches?
There are two main types of network switches, unmanaged and managed. The essential difference is the capability to configure the operation of a managed switch to customize and optimize network traffic for specific applications.

I've been looking at a particular soundbar for a while now and thought I should buy it for myself for Christmas. The Sony HTST7 was arounnd 1,300 and was on sale for around 1000 at most places. The unit arrived quickly, within days and the box was in good condition. CompSource kept me in the loop about my purchase and shipping and tracking so I felt better about making the right decision to purchase from them. When it arrived, I can tell it was new and unopened and very well padded. I couldn't believe that a soundbar came in that huge box. It's quite a heavy unit too. The quality of the soundbar is unbelievable, sounds great also and looks great.
