Its embedded hardware RAID design provides offload of complex RAID calculation from the computer to the unit, allowing fast read and write speed. Since RAID engine is embedded inside the enclosure, there are no OS compatibility issues. Popular USB 2.0 and Firewire 400 provide easy connection to various computer operating systems. Featuring RAID 0, 1, 10, 3 and 5, the ER104CT provides redundancy as well as data protection against hard drive failure. The frontal LED and drive LCDs provide status of the RAID unit. Four hot-swappable hard drive trays allow easy trouble shooting and hard drive replacement.
