General Information:

AAXA P7 Pico Projector

The AAXA P7 Mini HD Projector is a next-generation solid-state mini projector that delivers true native 1080P (1920x1080) performance and operates on both battery and DC power. The AAXA P7 Mini HD Projector incorporates a compact 4th generation Texas Instruments DLP imager featuring a native resolution of 1920 x 1080P or "Full HD". Mated to premium Luminus 30,000 hour LEDs, the P7 produces a bright 600 Lumens and is capable of delivering a 120" projected image anytime, anywhere.

1080p Native Resolution

The AAXA P7 delivers true native 1920x1080 pixel resolution without upscaling or marketing gimmicks. True 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution is made possible through advances in pico optical technology and Texas Instrument's 4th generation DLP imager technology. These advances enable the P7's 1080P resolution in the smallest form-factor ever. This makes the P7 one of the only small-form factor battery-powered mini projectors to offer native 1080P.

30,000 Hour Light Source

The AAXA P7 Mini Projector employs a full solid-state LED light-source. The advantages of solid-state technology include durability, long-life (30,000 hours), and bright vivid colors. Unlike competitors who use off-brand LEDs sourced from commercial lighting applications, AAXA Technologies' partnership with Luminus Devices™, a leader in the projection LED business, allows AAXA to deliver cinema class LEDS in its projection products.

Connectivity & Media Playback

The AAXA P7 portable projector features an onboard media player capable of directly playing videos, pictures, and music through a USB stick or TF card. With two powerful 2 watt speaker and battery, the P7 is a true all-in-one entertainment projector. Additional connectivity features include HDMI compatibility, VGA connector, AV port, and 3.5mm headphone port.

Optional 10000mah Lithium Ion Battery

A large 10000mah lithium ion battery is available, which delivers an ultra-bright 450 Lumens projector for 90 minutes. 450 Lumens in battery mode (600 Lumens in Boost mode while plugged-in) makes the P7 one of the brightest battery-mode projectors on the market. The AAXA P7 incorporates a premium grade lithium ion battery capable of maintaining 90% capacity over 1000 charge-cycles and is user swappable. Battery sold separately.

    Learn more about Projectors

The television screen seems to be getting larger and larger. These days you can easily find a high quality and reasonably priced 65-inch TV, and some of the best TVs you can buy are also quite reasonably priced. But, if you want a true cinematic experience, a projector is the way to go. Projector screens easily reach 120+ inches, and some projectors now support 4K UHD resolution and cover impressively wide color gamuts, just like their 4K TV counterparts. In a true home theater the difference between a large screen TV and a projector are simply a different experience all together and the projector becomes the thing that makes that impression last.

We also install TV's and Projectors in conference rooms. There are solid arguments for both appliances to be used in different scenarios. Often times this decision can be made simply by the size of the room or if the business wants a whiteboard functionality etc. We often prefer Large Format TV's or Touch Screen TV's for conference rooms.

So should you buy a projector? Well, projectors are a bit more complicated than TVs and require a little extra work and consideration, but the best projectors will bring your home theater to life. There are major factors that will determine whether a projector is right for you.

Can you control the light in the room?
While many projectors have much brighter lumens than previous models. You still have to have the ability to control your lighting as well as block light from outside.
Is there space in your area for a screen?
You are going to need both the space to install a screen and the depth to have the projector far enough away from the screen to project on your screen. First you can mount a manual or motorized drop-down screen from your ceiling. You could also mount a fixed screen to your wall, so long as you're willing to sacrifice the space. You could also paint your wall with a special projection-screen paint.
Do you have an A/V receiver?
A good A/V receiver is an important part of any home theater, and because projectors often have fewer connection ports than TVs, they are perfect for projector setups. If you plan to connect just a single device to your projector and have a sound system you can connect to it, be that a Blu-ray player or game console, then you don't necessarily need any additional equipment. But since most projectors have only one HDMI input, you'll need an A/V receiver to connect multiple devices. An HDMI switcher is also an option, but an A/V receiver is better: it will also provide sound to your speaker system you definitely want a sound system, projectors have very weak speakers, if they have them at all.
