General Information:

The Cisco UCS 6200 Series Fabric Interconnects are a core part of the Cisco Unified Computing System, providing both network connectivity and management capabilities for the sy stem. The Cisco UCS 6200 Series offers line-rate, lo w-latency, lossless 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE), and Fibre Channel functions.

The Cisco UCS 6200 Series Fabric In terconnects provide the management and communication backbone for the Cisco UCS B-Series and C-Series servers. All servers attached to the Cisco UCS 6200 Series Fabric Interconnects become part of a single, highly availa ble management domain. In addition, by supporting unified fabric, the Cisco UCS 6200 Seri es provides both the LAN and SAN connectivity for all blades within its domain.

From a networking perspective, th e Cisco UCS 6200 Series uses a cu t-through architecture, supporting deterministic, low-latency, line-rate 10 Gigabit Ethernet on all ports, switching capacity of 2 terabits (Tb), and 320-Gbps bandwidth per chassis, independent of pa cket size and enabled services. The product family supports Cisco® low-latency, lossless 10 Gigabit Ethern et unified network fabric ca pabilities, which increase the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of Ethernet networks. The fabric interconnect supports multiple traffic classes over a lossless Ethernet fabr ic from the blade through the interconnect.

    Approach to Quality
Cisco's approach to quality can be condensed down to one phrase: "ensuring our customer success". Cisco's Business Management System is made up of two parts; the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System.

    Cisco Fun Facts
Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology conglomerate headquartered in San Jose, California, in the center of Silicon Valley, that develops, manufactures and sells networking hardware, telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services and products. Through its numerous acquired subsidiaries, such as OpenDNS, WebEx, Jabber and Jasper, Cisco specializes into specific tech markets, such as Internet of Things (IoT), domain security and energy management.

Cisco is the largest networking company in the world. The stock was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on June 8, 2009, and is also included in the S&P 500 Index, the Russell 1000 Index, NASDAQ-100 Index and the Russell 1000 Growth Stock Index.

Cisco Systems was founded in December 1984 by Leonard Bosack and Sandy Lerner, two Stanford University computer scientists, who pioneered the concept of a local area network (LAN) being used to connect geographically disparate computers over a multiprotocol router system. By the time the company went public in 1990, when it was listed on the NASDAQ, Cisco had a market capitalization of $224 million. Cisco was the most valuable company in the world by 2000, with a more than $500 billion market capitalization
