Unlike all the other flash drives on the market that uses software encryption; Authenex thumb drive does encryption via hardware. No software installation is needed.

It also has additional security features such as:

Automatic Encrypted on-Board Memory: The A-Key® token is equipped with on-board user memory that ranges from 128MB up to 1GB and can store documents and/or applications. This memory is protected by a user password and real-time 128-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption.

Self Erase: User data inside the A-Key® token is safe from loss or theft. For added security, the A-Key® token is programmed to self-erase after a configurable number of failed login attempts.

Totally driverless: Because our storage-class A-Key® token is driverless, no installation on your PC is necessary. You have complete freedom to use any available computer.

2 levels of password protection: Advanced setting such as self lock and erase and unlock for admin level, normal user operations for user level.

Encryption on the fly: Encryption operates transparently, allows user to operate normally.

I placed a phone order for a very "hot" Panasonic digital camera, generally hard to find and frequently sold at "list price". The saleperson was extremely helpful and courteous and did not make any attempt to pad the order with extras. He confirmed the camera was in stock and assured me it would ship that day even though it was only 15 minutes before the shipping cutoff time for that day. Not only was the price the best price from a legitimate seller, but the camera was delivered to my door by FedEx ground 44 hours after I hung up the phone.
