Easy to Network Review: Sets up fast and prints fast. We recently purchased this printer so durability is yet to be seen. My other brother printers are still working 15 years later, but just very faint. Easy to network and does not require proprietary software to connect to the network. Brother networking is better than the HP printer networking which requires a server. Pros: Fast printing. Cons: Paper tray indicator mechanism is not that good. Image quality for photographs and other types of documents are not very good. Primarily used for printing text documents.
Fast and economical - problem some offbrand Toner Review: Great printer, fast as can be. Now that the printer is so fast, some off brand toners do not work with bond paper (toner does not fix / fuse properly). Brother OEM and V4Ink toner worked great with all paper, but LD and Pro print off-brand toners had problems with toner not fixing. Not a problem with the printer. Pros: Fast, cost effective Cons: Some off brand toners (LD, Pro Print) do not work well with bond or labels etc. (NOTE: V4Ink and Brother OEM worked well with all paper)
